Evaluation of Intensive and Safe Utilization of Regional Water Resources—Taking Beijing as an Example

  • Based on accelerated genetic-projection pursuit and symmetric interactive entropy multi-attribute ranking method, this study constructed an evaluation model for the intensive and safe use of regional water resources to evaluate the intensive and safe use of water resources in Beijing from 2008 to 2019. The results show that the intensive and safe utilization of water resources in Beijing reached the best state in 2010 and the worst in 2011, but it has gradually developed in recent years. The index of water resources intensive utilization has declined in 2013, but has an overall upward trend year by year. The water resource safety utilization index has a large change, with the best in 2010 and the worst in 2012, and it has been developing year by year after 2013. While promoting the construction of a water-saving society, Beijing should also build a strong ecological security barrier: In terms of improving the intensive use of water resources, it is necessary to pay close attention to water-saving work and improve the efficiency of water resources use. Industrial layout; in improving the safe use of water resources, the total amount of pollutant discharge should be strictly controlled, and urban sewage treatment and resource utilization should be vigorously promoted.
