Abstract
Through a systematic review of the current development of educational metaverse both domestically and internationally, it conducts a comprehensive analysis from four dimensions: theory, application, technology, and key issues. It highlights advancements in artificial intelligence-driven precision teaching, diversified teaching content, multi-modal knowledge representation, and learning behavior recognition. Results indicate that the educational metaverse, through the integration of virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and human-computer interaction technologies, can provide highly immersive blended teaching experiences that significantly enhance learning outcomes. However, shortcomings remain in areas such as cognitive mechanism research, support for personalized learning, and the accuracy of artificial intelligence algorithms. Therefore, addressing critical issues including hardware costs, data and ethical security, and technological integration serves as the cornerstone for the widespread implementation of the educational metaverse.
