Research Progress on Social Ecological System Risks and Adaptation under Climate Change

Using the CiteSpace bibliometric analysis method, this study systematically reviews literature on social-ecological system risks and adaptation under climate change and constructs knowledge maps. First, it identifies thematic knowledge structures and research evolution based on keyword knowledge maps. Second, it analyzes discrepancy in research attention and focus regarding different types of extreme weather events. Third, from a methodological perspective, it summarizes development trends in research paradigms and technical approaches in this field. The research findings indicate that: (1) Research frontiers concentrate on perspectives such as bidirectional interactions, future scenarios, and collaborative governance; (2) Research patterns concerning extreme weather events exhibit pronounced imbalance characteristics; (3) Research methods are evolving toward integration, dynamic enhancement, and greater technological depth.
