Abstract:
Taking the establishment of national ski tourism resorts as a quasi-natural experiment, based on the panel data of 290 prefecture-level cities in China from 2015 to 2023, this study uses the Difference-in-Differences (DID) model to explore the impact of the establishment of national ski tourism resorts on urban ecological resilience. The results show that:1) The establishment of national ski tourism resorts has significantly improved urban ecological resilience. Compared with non-pilot cities, the ecological resilience level of pilot cities has increased by 0.5%, and the conclusion has passed multiple robustness tests; 2) Optimizing industrial structure and driving technological innovation are important ways for national ski tourism resorts to improve urban ecological resilience; 3) The impact of national ski tourism resorts on urban ecological resilience is heterogeneous among different types of cities, and the policy's impact is more significant in northern cities and small and medium-sized cities. Therefore, deepening policy implementation and experience promotion, strengthening the mediating effects of industrial structure upgrading and technological innovation, and formulating differentiated regional policies are key measures for improving urban ecological resilience in the context of ice and snow economy.
