基于声学指数监测北京小龙门林区鸟类多样性

Bird diversity monitoring at Beijing Xiaolongmen Forest with acoustic indices

  • 摘要: 基于被动声学监测(PAM)收集到的声学数据,通过Spearman相关性分析,研究了6种常用声学指数对百花山国家级自然保护区小龙门林区鸟类物种多样性的指示性能.结果表明:声学复杂性指数(ACI)、生物声学指数(BI)、声学多样性指数(ADI)、声学均匀度指数(AEI)等4种声学指数与繁殖期内鸟类多样性的相关性较高;与鸟类物种数的相关系数ρ>0.3,与鸣唱量的相关系数ρ>0.4;显著性水平P<0.01;相关性趋势表明声音多样性及强度与鸟类多样性呈正相关.研究结果证实了声学指数能够有效反映小龙门林区的鸟类多样性,肯定了声学指数作为一种快速评估手段对鸟类多样性的监测效果,并在录音点位数量与录音时长的选择上为同类型的声学研究提供了建议.

     

    Abstract: Acoustic data collected through passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) were used for Spearman correlation analysis to examine indicative performance of six commonly used acoustic indices on avian species diversity at Xiaolongmen Forest, Baihua Mountain national nature reserve. Strong correlation was found between bird diversity and acoustic complexity index (ACI), bioacoustic index (BI), acoustic diversity index (ADI), and acoustic evenness index (AEI). Coefficient of ρ > 0.3 was correlated with bird species number, ρ > 0.4 with song quantity, with significance level of P < 0.01. The diversity and intensity of sound were positively correlated with bird diversity. This study provides clear evidence that the acoustic indices as a method of quick assessment of bird diversity and demonstrates how they can reflect bird diversity at Xiaolongmen Forest. This study provides recommendations for the selection of recording locations and durations in similar acoustic research endeavors.
