Abstract:
To explore the role and function of RNA methyltransferase NSun2 in gastric cancer, NSun2 overexpression and knockdown gastric cancer cell lines were constructed, and a combination of protein two-dimensional electrophoresis and mass spectrometry analysis was done to identify potential NSun2 targets. NSun2 was found to promote the proliferation of gastric cancer cells
in vitro. A total of 34 proteins were identified after proteomics analysis, including glutathione S-transferase P (GSTP1-1) and kinase C inhibitor protein 1 (KCIP-1), potential downstream targets of NSun2 in gastric cancer. Important insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying gastric cancer tumorigenesis and progression were gained.
