Spreading dynamics of complex networks with community structure

  • 摘要: 为了研究复杂网络社团结构的传播机制与规律,在小世界和无标度网络的基础上,构建了2个具有社团结构的网络模型,这2种模型允许社团结构在个体和群体层面的连接方式不同.利用仿真模拟,分析了社团结构特性对传播动态的影响机制.结果表明:在2个具有社团结构的网络模型中,随着模块度的变化,流行病的传播动态表现出截然不同的演化趋势;社团内外不同的布线方式导致网络的平均路径长度不同,从而使得社团结构对流行病传播动态的影响机制不同.

     

    Abstract: To investigate the spreading mechanisms and rules of complex network with community structure, two network models with community structure were constructed based on the well-known small-world network and scale-free network. These models permitted different wiring of community structures at individual and group levels. The impact mechanism of community structure characteristics on transmission dynamics was investigated by simulation experiments. Interestingly, the dynamics of epidemic spread in the two above mentioned network models show significantly different evolutions as the modularity changes. Different wiring schemes within and without communities lead to different average path lengths in the network, resulting in different mechanisms of community structure impact on epidemic transmission dynamics.
